This table re-do was for a friend of mine who had just moved and wanted a fresh color to match her decor. I'd never seen a side table like this before - it was awesome and such high quality...I think it weighed a ton. Initially I get nervous that I'll do something wrong and screw up a quality piece of furniture, but then I take a deep breath and remind myself that fresh paint makes everything look better. ... Lindsay liked the first dresser that I had repainted and thought that it would match the rest of the room so we went with it. After it was painted I did a couple coats of brown glaze and I love how it turned out.Luckily, so did she. :)
The two side doors opened up and had hardware that I needed to remove before I could start painting. With the three hinges holding the door on, plus all the hardware on the shelves, I could have sworn there were eleven million screws. I had labeled ziploc bags so I wouldn't forget which screws went where because there were so many. Times like that make me fall in love with power tools all over again.
The middle piece swiveled open and it took me way too long to figure out
how to get it off. If finally dawned on me to turn it over and take
the bottom piece off first.
And here it is at home:
Lindsay emailed me these pictures of her front room and I love it! Her chairs, pillows, lamp, everything!
It all looks so good. Not to mention her adorable kids on the wall.
